Welcome on the Castle Hill!
If you want to enjoy the comfort of a hotel at hostel prices, The Groove Apartment is the perfect choice for you. Truly a home away from home, the cozy apartment is fully equipped with all you might need on a laid-back Sunday afternoon. Apart from the must-have WIFI, there is a hifi stereo and speakers in case you would like to listen to music from your own devices. You will find a chess board, playing cards and dice in the living room along with a fine selection of Hungarian literature in English for a quiet night in. You may want to get a glimpse of the “Hungarian spirit” reading these short stories and poems curled up on the comfy sofa with a blanket and some tea. The kitchen is all set up for cooking with everything from apron to tupperware, and coffee and tea are provided free of charge. If you are on a business trip, you might find useful the iron and the ironing board – and if you are in the middle of your backpacking Euro-trip, you can use the washing machine to get your laundry done (hypoallergenic detergent is also provided). In the bedroom there is a double bed with hypoallergenic pillows and reading lights.
All this in the heart of the historic city, on Castle Hill in Buda – in a quiet residential building. The area is full of prestigious restaurants, but we always have some insider hints and tips for those travelling on a budget. Transportation is excellent, frequent buses will take you to downtown Budapest in 10 minutes, with direct connections to the main underground and tram lines. And best of all: the bus stop is right next to Mathias Church, one of the most beautiful buildings in Hungary.
